Thomas & Dessain (T&D), International Search & Selection Consultancy, have announced two significant developments.

Firstly, Charles Clarke, who joined as a Director in January 2006, has become Chairman.  He will continue to provide governance services, including the database of offshore-resident Non Executive Directors (NEDs), but will also have greater involvement in other areas of the business.

Secondly, in a further expansion of Thomas & Dessain’s strategic consulting services, a collaboration agreement has been signed with Howard Consulting Limited, whose principal Simon Howard will work in association with the directors of Thomas & Dessain in the areas of

• corporate governance advisory and consulting services to the finance sector in the Channel Islands and elsewhere
• placement services for NEDs
• advisory, support and training services for NEDs

Thomas & Dessain Managing Director Rosy Dessain said “I am delighted to have increased the involvement of Charles and to have concluded the collaboration agreement with Simon.  In the light of current regulatory trends and the increasingly sophisticated governance expectations of stakeholders, there is a growing need for the services that will form the focus of this joint venture”.
