The purpose of this role is to ensure the timely completion of bookkeeping and bank reconciliations for various client entities and to provide support to the accounting team as required. Duties include bookkeeping across client base to ensure all bookkeeping is ‘Live’ where possible; undertaking monthly bank reconciliations; assisting with preparation of financial statements under IFRS/UK GAAP/similar; assisting with preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts in agreed formats; assisting with collation of supporting information to financial statements and for inclusion in board packs and with cash projections and budgets; liaison with Auditors to support management of audit process and ensure successful completion of audits; assist in set up of new client entities on system and ensuring client records up to date; archiving of relevant client files following year end audit; assisting with development and maintenance of procedures and client key operational documents; acting as authorised “B” signatory.
Candidate will have CAT/AAT/IAB (or equivalent) or qualified through experience; understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP; understanding of other standards such as US GAAP or LUX GAAP would be beneficial; experience in Funds service beneficial but not essential; proficient in Excel and Word and general MS products, knowledge of accounting systems and their functionality; experience/knowledge of NavOne beneficial but not essential; excellent attention to detail; sharp analytical skills and a strong commercial awareness; proactive, solution focused and self‐sufficient; able to structure work logically and efficiently under pressure; good team player; attention to detail; proven analytical and problem‐solving abilities; well organised and able to work on own initiative being mindful of both internal and external deadlines.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
