Associate Director - Client Acquisition, Africa

Our client seeks the ideal candidate to define and execute business development strategy for the Africa region including corridor engagement plan for key markets and distribution channels and training on Jersey proposition to drive referral activity. Duties include handling client referrals for offshore banking and ensuring prospects met criteria; arranging client/local network events and client meetings; carrying out prospecting activity through meetings/marketing/presentations/introducers; meeting asset and liability acquisition targets and client accounts target; developing new African markets for growth; reducing time taken for clients to make first investments, funding new accounts and opening accounts; develop and build introducers network; ensure strong working relationships; ensure right type of client introduced and all account opening, onboarding and mortgage procedures followed; ensure regulatory compliance; escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters
Candidate must have proven track record of sales activity; positive customer service mentality; strong planning, presentation, relationship building, communication and organizational skills; ability to deal with people at all levels; sound knowledge of banking products and services and banking procedures; team player who shows initiative and assertiveness; self-motivator who is keen to upgrade and improve personal knowledge and skill; experience in dealing with clients and businesses in the African market.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
