Associate - Litigation

This role will appeal to an individual who thrives in a collegiate environment and has the drive, enthusiasm and relevant experience to help deliver the high quality litigation services demanded by clients. He/she will work as part of the team supporting the partner(s) and taking responsibility for cases involving contentious work, including contentious trust and company, cross border fraud and insolvency; providing efficient and high quality legal support service across all aspects of client work to include researching, writing opinions, reviewing documentation, drafting and preparing cases for Court; assisting in the promotion and business development of the litigation team in all of our locations, by working with the Partners across the jurisdictions and engaging in business development and know how activities; supervising and mentoring junior staff; managing such other activities/projects; adhere to all policies, procedures and regulations including AML and CFT; commit to fulfilling CPD requirements.
Candidate will have 2 yrs+ PQE with a Guernsey/UK/Commonwealth qualification; relevant litigation experience; sound drafting skills; strong organisational skills and the ability to time manage and prioritise effectively; excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; client focused approach; strong interpersonal and communication skills; organisational/time management skills and the ability to prioritise and manage a workload effectively within deadlines; disciplined and methodical approach and a keen eye for detail; ability to use initiative to resolve issues and to work independently with an appropriate level of supervision.
