Description

Exciting role managing engagements, overseeing teamwork to ensure compliance with client, statutory and internal requirements whilst maintaining awareness of market factors.  Postholder will provide highest standard of support and decision making for audit department and management group; ensure smooth running of department and report to leadership; oversee and direct budgeting, planning, coordination and control of engagements to ensure maximised recoverability; direct, coach and mentor team members to assist them in providing effective service delivery and timely completion of engagement work; develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and staff, sharing information to identify and progress current and future audit requirements; contribute towards creation, implementation and delivery of departmental business plan

Requirements are at least 2 years’ experience in an Audit Managerial capacity, working in external financial audit; ACA/ACCA/country equivalent professional qualification; strong working knowledge of MS Office, eAudit, audit methodology, current accounting and  financial reporting standards including IFRS and UK GAAP; Financial Services experience; experience in client take-on procedures; strong interpersonal and team working skills; ability to coach, mentor and manage teams of varying sizes.

Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
