Description

This is a great role managing a team of auditors to the required work standards and level of client service, controlling and reviewing work, coaching and developing team, undertaking performance management, providing feedback and identifying and delivering training needs.  Postholder will oversee work in progress and monitor time charges to clients; review and control non-productive team; ensure targets set are met; review progress on assignments against budget, investigate variances and cost over-runs and resolve problems; participate in recruitment process; help set budgets and fee levels to ensure profits; participate in marketing activities, proposal writing and presentation to retain business and win new contracts; build relationships and facilitate new business opportunities; support quality control monitoring, measure engagement quality and instigate remediation plans; maintain and update audit manuals; ensure firm registered in cross-border audit jurisdictions.

Candidate must have professional qualification; at least 5-7 years audit work experience; thorough knowledge of audit role and function financial service clients; good understanding of audit techniques including planning, interviewing, documentation, testing, conclusions and reporting; strong technical knowledge and understanding of current accounting and audit regulations and issues; proven client handling experience; ability to recruit, develop and motivate team; service oriented; excellent communication, interpersonal, planning and organising skills to manage team; initiative and lateral thinking; good problem solving and analytical thinking; highly PC literate with excellent knowledge of Windows software and accounting systems.

Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
