Business Advisory Manager

Exciting role managing team of accountants, planning, co-ordinating and reviewing work, ensuring effective client service and coaching, appraising, feeding back on performance, identifying training needs, and briefing prior to assignments. Postholder will oversee work in progress and monitor time charges; review non-productive team time and ensure targets met; review progress on assignments against budget, investigate variances and cost over-runs and resolve potential/actual problems; short-list potential new candidates and take part in recruitment process; help set budgets and fee levels; promote services and take part in marketing and proposal writing and presentations; support quality control monitoring, measure quality and put in place remediation plans where shortfalls against agreed standards are identified; build external network of business and client contacts; facilitate new business opportunities.
A relevant accounting professional qualification coupled with at least 5-7 years relevant work experience is required; candidate must have thorough knowledge of accounting for large range of different entities and proven experience managing and handling mixed client base; strong technical knowledge and understanding of current accounting regulations and issues; proven client handling experience; ability to recruit, develop and motivate a team in order to ensure a high level of client service; excellent communication, interpersonal, planning and organising skills; initiative and lateral thinking; good problem solving and analytical thinking ability; highly PC literate with excellent knowledge of Windows software and accounting systems.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
