Business Development Manager, Investment Services

Our client seeks the right person to oversee Wealth International business development and marketing investment proposition to African regions, identify prospects and generate referrals. He/she will maintain and grow introducer network to win referrals; develop and drive new business strategy to meet new product and revenue targets; deliver fit for purpose products and services; maintain close stakeholder contact; develop internal/external relationships to enable cross-selling and support distribution channels; maximise profitability on products, being commercial in all negotiations and strategic conversations; produce business development plan and understand the strategic business drivers, opportunities, challenges, needs, competition and threats inherent in the environments/business sectors; insight into local and international trends, developments and benchmarks in investment management; understand traditional and non-traditional competitors, their drivers, products and market share/client base; produce business development report monthly; attract talent and improve employee engagement; identify and manage business risk indicators for clients and the bank by ensuring products and service offerings structured to minimise risk to both parties; ensure risk, credit and compliance policies are observed.
Requirements are degree in Business Commerce/Finance & Accounting; preferably at least Level 4 (ideally Level 6 with Chartered Status) recognised Wealth Management and Investment Management qualifications; 7-10 years wealth management investment experience and at least 7 years fiduciary wealth experience with experience travelling to and operating in sub-saharan Africa; competency required in product knowledge, customer understanding, business knowledge, product related systems, financial knowledge, sales abilities, embracing change, teamwork and strategy development.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
