Business Development Specialist

One year fixed term contract. Duties involve implementing key client, intermediary and target client listening programme; coordination of legal directory; develop excellent working relationships; business analysis and planning; working knowledge of CRM database functionality - extraction and use of data; facilitate client feedback activity; support production of relationship reports and capability statements for clients; take meeting minutes and ensure follow-up; capture and promote office/practices credentials in target markets, media and products; assist fee earners in identifying and acting on opportunities for new profitable revenue streams; support on major pitches and marketing trips and reporting on success ratios; produce basic capability statements; prepare meeting packs for marketing meetings and trips; maintain database of fee quote material; facilitate and follow up face-to-face client marketing; maintain deal lists and website bios; ensure accuracy of practice/offices profile on internet, intranet and social media; ensure brochures and contact cards are up-to-date and on-brand; identify conferences and seminars to be attended and sponsored; support event planning.
The successful candidate will demonstrable knowledge of marketing concepts and focus on business development elements; have Project management skills; ability to manage and prioritise to meet deadlines; strong commercial acumen; proficient in MS applications; strong presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain focused on objectives,; strong relationship builder; high attention to detail and accuracy; ideally degree qualified (ideally covering business or marketing related subjects)/hold Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma in Marketing/equivalent; preferably more than three years' Business Development & Marketing experience, legal services experience preferable but not essential.
