Description

The purpose of this position is to lead and manage the Compliance Monitoring team which is responsible for designing and implementing the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP),for Guernsey, Jersey and UK regulated entities, writing reports summarising scope and outcomes of monitoring reviews and performing quality assurance review of monitoring and reporting; ensure actions identified as a result of CMP are tracked and completed and if regulatory consequences work with relevant stakeholders to remediate; develop training where regulatory expertise is required; remain updated with regulatory change in Guernsey, Jersey and the UK ensuring that that CMP remains up to date to facilitate the on-going monitoring of regulatory obligations; support client facing teams with CMP related queries; build relationships with wider risk and compliance team across all jurisdictions and maintain those relationships through effective communication.

Candidate will have proven stakeholder management, service delivery, relationship and communication skills; ability to take ownership and demonstrate initiative, to negotiate, influence, and work under pressure and to deadlines; self-motivated and capable of prioritising and organising workloads; detailed understanding of, and experience with, performing compliance monitoring in financial services; good knowledge of CI and UK regulatory environment; university degree or equivalent in relevant subjects or an equivalent professional qualification; experience in compliance role in financial services advantageous; good working knowledge of SharePoint and MS Outlook, Word and Excel; quick to learn new systems; training provided.

Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
