Compliance Officer Trust and Funds

This exciting role will provide support on Fiduciary and Funds projects to ensure project implementation is in line with laws and regulations, and act as Deputy Compliance Officer, Deputy MLRO & Deputy MLCO. Duties involve overseeing reviewing of new account files to ensure client take-on procedures being met; assist with compliance and AML monitoring and performing fund specific compliance monitoring programmes and writing reports; assist on new and/or revised business strategies, assessing associated risks and recommending and/or assessing mitigation efforts to reduce risk exposure; advise business units on developing action plans to implement new/change requirements; support monitoring of regulatory development and engagement trends; liaise with audit and control functions; develop and recommend changes and improvements to operating models and procedures; ensure good operational financial and project management policy and procedural compliance and early identification, and effective resolution/escalation of issues; maintain MI analysis.
The successful candidate will have experience in Private Banking/Wealth Management; team spirit; knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements with respect to economic sanctions and providing guidance on sanctions; strong communication, project management, decision making and influencing skills; strategic & commercial awareness; business acumen; ideally educated to tertiary level with Compliance/AML qualification and at least 10 years Fiduciary and/or Funds experience and 5 years Compliance/AML Experience.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
