Contract Senior Trust Officer 14/15 months maternity cover

Our client seeks the right person to profitably manage a diverse portfolio of complex clients, deliver first class client service and identify and pursue new business opportunities via existing client relationships; deputise for Senior Trust Manager; chair and manage the Trust Team meetings and timely dispatch of minutes; identify and convert new business opportunities; attend client meetings; maintain statutory and accounting records ensuring compliance with local legislation in relevant jurisdiction; complete trust control functions within agreed time frame including periodic review, accounts and updating of registers; ensure clients assets correctly identified, allocated and under full control of the trust company, or their delegated representatives; ensure fair charging of fees to clients and periodic review of profitability; act as a “B” signatory on behalf of Company and ‘in-house’ companies; assist with staff review and appraisal and provide constructive feedback; chair 6 weekly trust meeting to review the trust control spreadsheets; review financial statements; provide technical advice, coaching and guidance; make suggestions to enhance procedural efficiency.
Successful candidate will be demonstrate ability and interpersonal skills necessary in order to successfully supervise and develop subordinate staff; have strong communication, relationship, analytical and problem solving skills; be pro-active and use initiative; able to prioritise and organise workload; excellent technical and product knowledge and experience of administering offshore structures, and be able to apply this knowledge accordingly; Table 4 Qualification in accordance with the Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998 as it relates to Trust Company Business required; preferably hold either STEP/ICSA Diploma.
