Corporate Services Accountant

Postholder will be responsible for managing client portfolio of Jersey companies, Unit Trusts and Limited Partnerships investing in a range of assets: link between management and junior staff,; review work produced for submission to senior level staff; take part in setup of client structures and implement complex international structures as part of restructuring plans, mergers and acquisitions; coordinate and contact independent tax specialists, lawyers, and notaries as a part of setting up structures; assist with the preparation and collation of KYC and CDD Files; take care of client operations and follow up with third parties, including investors and clients; ensure effective cash management of client entities and undertake regular cash reconciliations; prepare client entities management accounts and financial statements under UK GAAP or IFRS; liaise with tax advisors in respect of ongoing tax compliance; respond to clients' requests in terms of tax planning in close collaboration with external tax advisors; manage a team of part or fully qualified accountants and ensure all reporting deadlines are adhered to.
Candidate will be educated to the equivalent of A-Level or University Degree; either a fully or nearly qualified accountant, either ACCA or ACA; 3-5 years of relevant experience in the fields of offshore administration, corporate services or audit; team spirit, the capacity to build strong client relationships, and take initiative to act without waiting for direction when appropriate.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
