This role would suit a candidate currently working in business development with a commercial angle, recruitment, sales, or banking and will be focused on acquiring new online products, assets, and managing roster of brokers. Duties involve identification of new targets and researching the best ways to make connections; maintaining and liaising with network of brokers and contacts to assist the goal of completely future-proofing product matrix; accessing acquisition pipeline end-to-end, from contacting owners, negotiating best possible deal and managing transfer of assets; effective reporting, making improvements to optimise speed to close; overseeing brand for brokerage business (with assistance) to command strong online presence respected in industry. Some travelling will be involved.
The successful candidate must have strong understanding of the sales process, dynamics, and negotiation; ability to create potential customer and client relationships, understanding business needs and translating this into opportunity; proven track record of pipeline management and successfully closing deals - driving through from identification to conclusion; experience in handling extremely confidential business and market information; superb interpersonal and relationship skills; able to thrive in a fast paced, transaction-based environment; love of finding software-based solutions to drive more repeatable, efficient, and scalable processes; ruthless organisational skills and able to multi-task and work under pressure and prioritise.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
