Director of Risk and Compliance - Trusts

Postholder will act as Principal regulatory contact with JFSC and ensure robust AML/CFT and compliance and risk framework with policies, policy reviews and risk based approach. He/she will drive improvements in AML/CFT and compliance awareness; deliver training programme; build market and industry knowledge to benchmark AML/CFT and compliance; address changes in regulatory developments; deliver annual compliance business plan; monitor and report AML/CFT and compliance matters; proactively identify risks and implement mitigating measures; help trust boards maintain core risk management tools; ensure risk registers/inventories maintained; manage and report on FLOD testing; Key/Principal Person; chair committee meetings.
Requirements are at least 10 years’ experience in Trust Company Business in regulatory approved risk and compliance roles; JFSC/GFSC Approved Principal/Key Person as relevant; expertise in MS Office and other software packages; fully aware of business trends; recognised as Subject Matter Expert; strong commercial and economic awareness; able to develop resource structure to deliver on local strategy; able to deploy talent; coaching abilities; team player; able to motivate; highly articulate and able to communicate complex ideas simply; excellent client relationship skills; committed to service quality.
