Description
The Finance Manager will work as a team of four in the busy accounts office of the Group. The accounts team is responsible for all aspects of the accounting function for two trading companies based in Jersey and Guernsey.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager's primary task will be to manage the team to ensure the timely and accurate production of the monthly management accounts, group reporting package and other reports. This will involve:
- Monthly review of bank and other key balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monthly review of accruals and prepayments, including making suitable judgements to ensure the adequacy and appropriateness of the various accruals.
- Monthly review of the Nominal Ledgers to ensure that costs are matched appropriately to the period to which they relate, and the review of the supporting spreadsheets.
