This role with a large element of client contact involves the provision of fund accounting support to all fund clients of the Jersey office, services to private, expert and listed funds across a range of asset class and with varied structuring requirements. Duties involve NAV preparation and review; management accounts and reports preparation; liaison with auditors and resolving queries; establish and maintain CDD and KYC records; ensuring deadlines and service flawless if work outsourced; provide support to co sec team; train junior members; review and develop key procedures and controls; keep updated with industry updates and accounting standards; apply local legislation for drug trafficking - money laundering - terrorist financing impacting on fiduciary business; report complaints and operational risks and suspicious; report risk issues; identify and propose improvements; assess and manage risk situations to avert issues and protect assets; deal with client complaints.
Candidate must be qualified (ACCA or ICAEW) or equivalent; minimum of 5 years fund or corporate accounting experience; self-starter with ability to work on own initiative; good understanding of the accounting and administration of funds and other corporate entities; knowledge of IFRS and/or UK GAAP relevant to investments trusts; good organisational skills; good verbal and written communication skills; management of deadlines as well as investor reporting and there will be opportunity for continued training.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
