Description

Our client seeks the ideal candidate to assist in managing all aspects of client service provision to a varied portfolio of complex, demanding and/or high risk funds for Alternative Investment and Corporate Services clients and manage and develop a team.  He/she will manage risk exposure by ensuring risk/review procedures with sound understanding of local regulatory matters; monitor risk profile of matters under administration and ensure higher risk matters receive appropriate level of attention and monitoring; escalate issues arising; act as authorised signatory; assist team with client matters and attend client meetings; manage billing and aged debt position of client matters; oversee team daily workflow, monitoring risk exposure and allocating new matters; provide technical guidance to the team members; keep abreast of industry developments; contribute to management meetings and implement decisions taken; manage flow of new business and ensure proper allocation and apportionment of new business to team; take active role in projects; be actively involved in client take-on; take lead role in recruitment, annual staff appraisals, manage absence and with support and guidance from HR, handle disciplinary and performance issues.

Candidate will be educated to A Level or Degree standard; ideally will have completed a professional/relevant qualification to Professional Level (ICSA/ACCA); ideally a minimum of 10 years or more relevant financial services / professional experience, preferably in a client-facing role; as a result of study and experience, possess a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of working in a control environment; proven supervisory/management experience; strong IT skills, in particular strong Excel skills; proven client handling skills; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; solution driven attitude to problems; ability to work using own initiative and make decisions within corporate policies; strong time management and organisational skills; ability to effectively manage and motivate staff; very strong technical skills in relevant area; be client focused; keep up to date with CPD.
