Description

Required urgently.  The postholder will provide IT services and operational activities to include deployment, monitoring, maintenance, infrastructure development, upgrade and support of IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals; provide 1st (and where possible 2nd) level support to users for in-house systems; assist in planning, design, testing, and deployment for upgrades/new hardware and applications; asset management of IT hardware, software and equipment; administration of purchase orders and invoices for local offices in the UK; assist in management of server infrastructure, back-ups, restores, user management, capacity planning, security and audit; assist with creating and maintaining systems specifications, documentation, and diagrams; provide support to users on peripherals, printer configuration/management and disk space optimisation; implement necessary measures to ensure high level of IT security and ensure all precautions taken concerning sensitive information; assist IT Manager with budget related expenditure estimates in preparing and maintaining office budgets and servicing costs; provide training and coaching to users on MS Office.  Postholder will be expected to travel to other offices.

Requirements are at least 2- 3 years related work experience; strong technical knowledge of MS Windows 10, 7 and MS Server 2008, 2012, 2012R2. Office 365; proven experience in IT user support; experience with application management; preferably experience of Citrix, MS Exchange, SQL, MacAfee Anti-Virus; Dynamics AX, CRM, Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Viewpoint and hosted shared/hosted virtual desktop; certifications in MS Back Office Technologies; experience with Citrix, MS Exchange, SQL, MacAfee Anti-Virus cyber security, telephony; technical knowledge of IP, MPLS and VPNs would be preferred; strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to present information in a clear and user-friendly way; exceptional customer service orientation; team player; highly self-motivated/driven; capable of working independently with minimum supervision; positive, flexible and open-minded; keen attention to detail; proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Five years continuous residence in Jersey required for permanent candidates.  Open to permanent or temporary candidates.  Based in either Jersey or Guernsey.
