Security Operations Technical Specialist

Knowledge and experience in operational risk is necessary, as is experience working with brokers and custodians; good working knowledge of SWIFT, IDC and Bloomberg an advantage; at least 5 years financial services background in securities/investment operations, corporate actions, income, settlements, transitions, stock data and pricing; self-motivated; accurate; proactively while challenging existing procedures; adaptable; project/change management experience an advantage; able to work independently; highly motivated; can-do attitude; good understanding of fund dealing/settlement, securities lifecycle, trading fees and AML/KYC; strong communication skills; CISI Certificate/Diploma.
The postholder will control and mitigate operational risk; undertake ongoing improvement programme with small/large projects and initiatives; deliver high quality service; assist with stock breaks, settlements, static data, pricing controls, MI, audit, stock master records, stock pricing, or custodian management; complete fund documentation and AML/KYC requirements; identify and resolve workflow issues, check daily output standards, escalating issues and progressing solutions; monitor corporate action events, how scheduled in system and check allocations to client accounts; be enabler of change; support other Operations specialist teams; resolve issues.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
