Senior Financial Reporting Manager - Private Equity

The purpose of this role is to account for a complex and varied portfolio of fund structures and review accounting matters for a team incorporating investor reports, statutory financial statements and ad-hoc investor queries; act as higher authority on day-to-day accounting queries and as 4-eyes signatory on accounting matters; ensure policy and professional guidelines adhered to and quality service provided to clients; manage audit process for all clients within the team; build strong relationships with audit firms; attend client board meetings and present quarterly financial information; review preparation and reconciliation of periodic direct and indirect tax returns, and liaise with foreign tax advisors; ensure accounting requirements and reporting deadlines met; oversee planning, scheduling, and monitoring of workloads; act as mentor to Financial Reporting Managers; supervise and assist in staff training and development; arrange and manage appraisal process for reporting lines.
The candidate will be expected to hold a relevant professional qualification (ACCA or ACA); required to have proven relevant experience; sound technical financial services knowledge; computer literacy, word processing and spread sheet skills are essential; excellent interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients and business contacts; strong people management experience; evidence of managing a major client relationship; quick to learn new systems. Training will be provided.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
