Senior Fund Officer - Corporate & Private Clients

Exciting role opportunity as member of a team within Fund Services group that specialises in the provision of services to regulated listed fund clients. Working closely with the responsible Manager, the role requires proactive, hands on client interaction including regular client meetings, all conducted in a professional manner and in accordance with regulatory requirements, agreed client service-levels and company standards. Candidate will be the main day to day point of contact for the investment manager, fund board of non-executive directors and intermediaries within designated portfolio of clients; take responsibility for training and development of more junior team members to build and develop their knowledge and enhance their career and promotion prospects; provide support to the management team in the establishment of an effective system of internal control throughout the Company and accordingly, to ensure that all staff comply with prescribed policies and procedures; assist in managing the team and deputising in the Manager’s absence acting as the focal point for administration and technical queries from members of the team; suggest procedural improvements.
Candidate will hold/be studying towards professional qualification recognised by the JFSC preferably ICSA/ACCA; broad knowledge and understanding of company and fund administration; proven knowledge of appropriate Jersey legislation and regulation; compliance, risk and audit awareness; proven analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to present ideas in user-friendly, business-friendly and technical language; excellent communication and customer service skills; self-motivated with experience of working in a team-orientated and collaborative environment; ability to delegate, coach and mentor; attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to identify potential risk issues and escalate when necessary and the ability to draft high quality minutes of meetings; good communication skills; excellent organisational and administrative skills; ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads, work within allocated deadlines and use own initiative; knowledge of the London Stock Exchange Listing Rules, the UK Corporate Governance Code and/or the Association of Investment Companies Code of Corporate Governance would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
