Senior Manager, Supervision

Exciting role opportunity overseeing delivery of supervision examination plan relating to financial crime risk controls and ensuring standards set by international assessors are met. Postholder will coach and develop staff within Financial Crime Examination Unit ensuring performance management framework adhered to; ensure examinations have clear scope, objectives, roles, duties and assignment plans; monitor pre and post examination progress and make necessary adjustments; coordinate examination draft and final reports and ensure examination documentation completed in accordance with agreed standards; keep stakeholders informed throughout process; responsible for examination findings which can be clearly substantiated with evidence; ensure full scope of examination covered and deviations justified and documented; ensure closing routines are completed; share good practices and draft guidance; share knowledge and experience with colleagues; ensure industry trends identified and shared; contribute to projects and change implementation.
Requirements are strong financial services background with highly developed practical experience and understanding of financial crime risks and control applications; strong skills in management, stakeholder management, analysis, tenacious investigation, coaching, planning, communication, report writing and public speaking; good team player; understanding of risks and risk management; self motivated; results driven; able to act on own initiative; proactive in supporting change; able to handle conflicting priorities;internationally recognised qualification in understanding financial crime risks and controls desirable but not essential; good understanding of regulatory risk and/or audit processes an advantage.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
