Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for developing and executing the Group’s operations strategy, ensuring strong governance, regulatory compliance, and alignment with business objectives. The candidate will drive organisational performance through cross-functional leadership, process optimisation, and cultural transformation, while overseeing key functions including IT, business solutions, facilities, and marketing. Accountable to the Board for delivering operational efficiency, financial strength, and an enhanced client experience.

This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement through ensuring the provision of technical expertise and service to meet the specific needs and expectations of the clients and employees. It requires, demonstrative ability to evaluate and leverage financial and operational metrics to drive organisational decision making to achieve strategic objectives. The candidate will have the ability to manage arising complex challenges and identify reputational, financial, and/or operational risks and takes responsibility for delivering innovative, consistent and client focused solutions promptly is critical.

The candidate must have: 

• A degree + professional qualification (ACCA/ACA/STEP/ICSA).

• Extensive experience in the trust and corporate sectors.

• Proven senior leadership track record.

• Strong regulatory and governance expertise.

• Demonstrable broad knowledge of current trends and developments across all sectors which the group operates in.

• Track record of successfully meeting or exceeding organisational targets, specific goals and driving significant impact.
