Technical Underwriting Lead

You will hold the highest underwriting authority, underwrite complex risks, and act as a key referral point for the team. 

You will shape underwriting philosophy, pricing strategy, risk appetite, and product governance, ensuring decisions align with commercial objectives and regulatory expectations.

You will work closely with capacity providers, contribute to product development, oversee delegated authority frameworks, and support board reporting, audits, and policy wording reviews. 

The role also includes providing expert technical guidance, supporting team performance, and ensuring high standards across documentation and underwriting processes. 

Ideal candidates bring extensive technical underwriting experience and strong capability in developing underwriting frameworks and pricing strategies, with progress toward professional qualifications such as ACII seen as an advantage.
