Great opportunity for enthusiastic trainee wishing to start their career in accounts and work in a team servicing the needs of a portfolio of clients. He/she will maintain electronic and paper files; prepare bank reconciliations; undertake bookkeeping on SUN systems for allocated Fund structures (RE & PE), companies and trusts; prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts; prepare Investor capital accounts; prepare adhoc Investor queries and confirmations; prepare annual Financial Statements (UK GAAP/IFRS, audited & unaudited); support senior staff throughout the audit process; assist with team projects including updates to processes and record keeping procedures; prepare VAT returns.
Candidate will have A Levels/equivalent and be willing to study towards ACCA; excellent prioritisation, organisational, communication, numeracy, time management and interpersonal skills; strong 'Can Do' attitude; ability to work as part of a team to achieve agreed deliverables and manage multiple tasks; produce accurate work to tight deadlines and under pressure; self-motivating, adaptable and flexible; bookkeeping and accounting knowledge/qualifications desired but not essential; relevant practical work experience would be an advantage; ability to present information and respond to questions from managers and clients; ability to solve practical problems; intermediate/ advanced Excel and Words.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
