Postholder will provide accounting support and cashflow management and assist with accounting for Trading Companies in Jersey. He/she will keep records for invoices payable and ensure payment; record intercompany funding transactions and monitor Jersey and offshore bank accounts to identify funds; resolve queries with invoices/expense claims/cash receipts; provide daily cash position and cash forecasting updates; process accounting transactions; record and reconcile cash receipts; ensure Trial Balance up to date at month end for all non-trading Head Office and other offshore entities; assist with monthly accruals and prepayments to ensure income and expenses correctly apportioned in management accounts; assist with monthly bank reconciliations for review, monthly reporting packs and monthly product and revenue reports; assist in preparing Year end audit file for statutory audit; sales ledger - bookkeeping and posting of provisional invoices for all shipments; liaise with marketing team to understand letter of credit process to forecast cash receipts; reconcile and post adjustments to final invoices for shipments; reconcile month end intercompany payables/receivables and income statement transactions with subsidiaries.
Requirements are strong MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel; experience with Navision and/or Jet Reports preferable; at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role; CAT qualified/part qualified or equivalent accounting qualification; experience working in a commercial environment; ability to plan and organise self and be proactive in working approach; strong attention to detail with excellent reconciliation skills; analytical approach to problem solving; ability to work to and meet strict reporting deadlines; ability to build and maintain relationships with key contacts; commercial awareness.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
