Description
This is a great role as a key player in the transition process to form the Intellectual Property team, providing input and statistics to assess risk and any new activity trends being submitted, developing knowledge of Intellectual Property regime and how it is applied through interpretation of legislation, case law and examination practice to ensure Trade Mark, Patent and Design applications are registered in accordance with legislation, defining processes and procedures to manage the Registers, reviewing legislative service level agreements, providing high quality, effective and efficient service to all users of Intellectual Property regime, preparing examination reports detailing deficiencies in application, liaising with applicant to ensure understanding of application process and resolving discrepancies, playing leading role in escalated applications including summary drafting of decisions and leading technical discussions.
The successful candidate will have ability to meet deadlines, work at pace and adapt to a changing environment, be customer service oriented with ability to interpret and apply Trade Mark legislation, case law and examination practices, self-driven individual with experience in Intellectual Property regime with strong analysis and research skills. People management and system implementation experience is preferred. Trade Mark examiner experience would be advantageous but training will be provided for the successful candidate.
